Resolving ‘Your Connection is Not Private’ Error When Logging Into Your VPS: A Troubleshooting Guide

VPS templates offer multiple login methods, some of which use a non-secure HTTP protocol, which may cause the browser to block access to the login page and display an error message.

a) Chrome

1. First, click on the Advanced button and select the Proceed to [your-vps-ip] (unsafe) button to proceed.

2. If you’re not seeing the Proceed button, click a blank space on the page and type in  thisisunsafe on your keyboard to be redirected to the panel login page.

b) Firefox

1.First, click the Advanced button.

2. Then, click the Accept the Risk and Continue button.

c) Safari

1.First, click the Advanced button.

2. Then, click the visit this website button.

Notes:

  • This method is recommended for use with trusted sites and pages, such as your VPS, and should not be used with third-party sites.
  • This error occurs when logging into the control panel without pointing it to your domain. To avoid this, point to your domain and install SSL for your hostname.
