Simplifying Contact Management: A Guide to cPanel’s Address Importer

The cPanel address importer allows you to create multiple email addresses or forwarders for your account, letting you manage hundreds of employees with ease. It supports Excel spreadsheet (.xls) and comma-separated values table (.csv) data import and can also import email forwarder lists.

a) How to import email addresses in cPanel

1. Log into cPanel and navigate to the Email section to select Address Importer tool or search for the Address Importer tool in the search bar.

2. Then, in Select what you would like to import? section, select the E-mail Accounts option.

3. After that, browse your Excel spreadsheet or CSV file and check the checkbox if the first row is treated as a column header. If a CSV file is selected, enter a comma delimiter before click the Next button to proceed. You can create a spreadsheet using Microsoft Excel and save it using .xls or .csv from the Save As menu.

4. Next, select the appropriate header for each column and the desired email domain, then click the “Next” button to proceed.

5. Then, it displays comments on content and users can view, screenshot or print the page to obtain a password. cPanel automatically generates an email for an unspecified email and password, and unlimited quotas are provided, despite not specifying quotas in the quota column.

6. Finally, click the Finish button to import the email addresses.

b) How to import email forwarders in cPanel

1. Log into cPanel and navigate to the Email section to select Track Delivery tool or search for the Track Delivery  tool in the search bar.

2. Then, in Select what you would like to import? section, select the Forwarders option.

3. After that, select your Excel spreadsheet or CSV file and check the checkbox if the first row is treated as a column header. If a CSV file is selected, enter a comma delimiter before click the Next button to proceed. You can create a spreadsheet using Microsoft Excel and save it using .xls or.csv from the Save As menu.

4. Next, select the headers of each column, source, and target columns, and click the Next button to proceed.

5. Then, it will display comments on which transponders to import and you can check the settings.

6. Finally, click the Finish button to import the forwarders.
