Understanding Aliases in cPanel: A Comprehensive Guide

cPanel Aliases enable your website to be loaded from another domain, automatically redirecting users to your main domain when they visit an Alias Domain or Park Domain.

a) How to create an Alias in cPanel

1. Log into cPanel and navigate to the Domains section to select Aliases tool or search for the Aliases tool in the search bar.

2. Then, enter your domain in the field.

3. After that, click on the Add Domain button to add the alias.

4. Finally, you will receive a success message indicating that the alias was successfully created.

Note:

1. The domain name must be registered.

2. The domain’s name servers must be configured to point to your cPanel account.

b) How to remove Aliases in cPanel

1. Log into cPanel and navigate to the Domains section to select Aliases tool or search for the Aliases tool in the search bar.

2. Then, in the Remove Aliases section, click the Remove link button in the Actions that corresponds to the domain you want to remove.

3. Finally, click the “Remove Alias” button and you will receive a message that your alias has been successfully deleted.
