a) How do I create a personal Google Cloud project?

1. First, create a new Google Cloud project.

2. Then, enable the APIs required for the project.

3. Afterwards, configure project credentials through the Configure OAuth Consent screen and create a service account for the Network Protection Service.

4. Finally, grant the new project access to your Google Workspace account.

b) How do I create a new Google Cloud project?

1. First, log in to Google Cloud Platform as a super administrator.

2. Then, click Select Project and select New Project.

3. Afterwards, give the new project a name.

4. Finally, click the Create button.

c) How do I enable the required APIs for the project?

1. First, select your new project in the Google Cloud Platform console.

2. Then, select APIs and Services and click Enabled APIs and Services from the navigation menu.

3. After that, disable all APIs enabled by default in this project one by one:

a. First, navigate to the Enabled APIs and Services page and select the API name to access the API/Service Details page for the selected API.

b. Then, click “Disable API” and then click “Disable” to confirm your choice.

c. After that, return to APIs and Services to select Enabled APIs and Services and disable the next API.

4. Next, select APIs and Services from the navigation menu, and then click Library.

5. Then, enable the following APIs one by one in the API library:

  • Gmail API

  • Google Drive API

  • Admin SDK

  • Google Calendar API

  • Google People API

6. Finally, use the search bar to locate the required API, enable it by clicking its name, and navigate to API Libraries by selecting APIs and Services.

d) How do I configure the OAuth consent screen?

1. First, select APIs and Services, then select the OAuth consent screen from the Google Cloud Platform navigation menu.

2. Then, select Internal as the user type and click Create.

3. After that, specify the name of your application in the application name.

4. Next, enter the super administrator email in the user support email field.

5. Then enter the super administrator email in the Developer Contact Information field.

6. After that, leave all other fields blank and click on Save and Continue.

7. Next, click Save and Continue without changing anything in the scope.

8. Finally, verify your settings and click Return to Dashboard on the Summary page.

e) How do I create and configure the service account for the Cyber Protection service?

1. First, select IAM & Management, then select Service Accounts from the Google Cloud Platform navigation menu.

2. Then, click Create Service Account.

3. After that, specify the name of the service account.

4. Next, specify a description for the service account.

5. Then, click Create and Continue.

6. Afterwards, do not change anything in the Grant this service account access to this project and Grant user access to this service account steps.

7. Next, click Done.

8. Then, select the new service account, and under Actions, click Manage Keys on the Service Account page.

9. After that, click on “Add Key” to select “Create New Key” and then under “Key” select “JSON Key Type”.

10. Finally, click Create to download a JSON file with the service account private key and securely store it for adding your Google Workspace organization to the network protection service.

f) How do you grant the new project access to your Google Workspace account?

1. First, select IAM & Management, then select Service Accounts from the Google Cloud Platform navigation menu.

2. In the list, find the service account you created and copy the client ID that appears in the OAuth 2.0 Client ID column.

3. Then, log in to the Google Admin console as a super administrator.

4. After that, select Security and click on Access and Data Control to select API Control from the navigation menu.

5. Next, scroll down the API Control page and click Manage Domain-Wide Delegation under Domain-Wide Delegation.

6. Then, click Add new on the Domain-wide Delegation page.

7. After that, enter the client ID of the copied service account client in the Client ID field.

8. Next, add the following scopes in the OAuth Scope field:

  • https://mail.google.com
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/contacts
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/admin.directory.user.readonly
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/admin.directory.domain.readonly
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.modify

9. Finally, click Authorize.

g) How do you revoke access to your Google Workspace account?

1. First, log in to the Google Admin console as a super administrator.

2. Then, select “Security” and click “Access and Data Control” to select API Controls from the navigation menu.

3. After that, navigate to the API Control page and select Manage Domain-Wide Delegation under Domain-Wide Delegation.

4. Finally, select the API client your project uses and click Delete on the domain-wide delegation page.
