Monitoring Email Delivery: A Guide to Track Delivery in cPanel

cPanel’s email track delivery allows users to view email delivery reports, display errors during email sending and view spam scores within emails. Apache Spam assassin provides spam scores and the interface also helps identify issues with the email delivery route.

a) How to track email delivery in cPanel

1. Log into cPanel and navigate to the Email section to select Track Delivery tool or search for the Track Delivery tool in the search bar.

2. Then, you will see a table of email-sending events. To filter individual recipient emails, enter the recipient’s email in Recipient Email and click “Show All“. To view all emails, remove the email from Recipient Emails and click “Show All“. You can combine filters as needed.

There are four primary types of filters that can be applied to lists:

  • Show Success: Display all emails that were successfully sent to the destination.
  • Show Deferred: Display all emails with system-delayed warnings.
  • Show Failure: Displays emails that were not sent to the intended recipient and any other errors during email transmission.
  • Show In-Progress: Display all the emails currently being transferred.

Below is the default information about email:

  • Events: Displays icons for successful, failed, or delayed emails.
  • Sender: Displays the email address of the sender.
  • Sent time: Shows the date and time the email was sent.
  • Spam Score: Displays the Apache Spamassassin spam score.
  • Recipient: Displays the recipient’s email.
  • Result Important column: Display the system error encountered during email sending and provide details about the delivery results.
  • Action: Information icon, which displays report details when clicked.

3. After that, click on the information icon displayed in the action column next to the report to access additional details about the email delivery report.

4. Finally, you can view the diary record in detail.
