Exploring Tables in WordPress: A Comprehensive Overview

TablePress is a popular WordPress table plugin that simplifies the creation and management of interactive tables on your website. It allows you to add, edit, and manage data tables without coding, add images, links, and mathematical formulas, as well as add real-time sorting, pagination, and search visitors. It also allows you to import and export tables to various file formats.

a) How to install the TablePress plugin in WordPress

1. Log in to WordPress, then on the menu on the left side of the dashboard, click the “Plugins” button, and then click the “Add New” button.

2. Then, search for the “TablePress” plugin in the search box and click the “Install Now” button.

3. Once all installations have been completed, click the Activate button to proceed with the activation process.

b) How to create a table using TablePress

1. First, on the menu on the left side of the dashboard, click the “TablePress” button, and then click the “Add New Table” button.

2. Next, you need to type the name of the table and select the required rows and columns. You can add or remove rows and columns from table cells at any time.

3. Then, click the Add Table button to create a table. You can see all the table information and an area where you can add content.

4. After that, type the row number and column number in the table cell. You can sort table columns numerically and alphabetically using the arrows above them. You can use Table Manipulation features to insert, delete, and copy rows in table cells. In Table Options, you can also include header or footer rows in the table that are not sorted with the data, and you can also decide where you want the table name and description to appear.

5. Additionally, the Features of the DataTables JavaScript library allows you to fix several options, such as enabling the creation of a responsive table that can be searched, filtered, and sorted by visitors.

6. Finally, click the Save Changes button to save your changes. If you want to modify the table later, just use TablePress in your WordPress dashboard and modify the table. The table will automatically update on any page or post you have used. TablePress can also import data from CSV and spreadsheet files. Likewise, you can also transfer data from a TablePress table to a CSV file, which we can open using any spreadsheet software like Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
