Guide to Crafting Automated Messages for Smarter Track Live Chats

Smarter Track allows system administrators to display custom messages to customers during live chats, providing additional instructions or information, or welcoming them to the chat feature and thanking them for their interaction.

a) How do I create a custom live chat message for customers in Smarter Track ?

1. First, log in to Smarter Track management as an administrator.

2. Then, click on the menu icon and select “Settings” from the drop-down list.

3. After that, click on “Live Chat” under the “Configuration” heading.

4. Next, click the Departments tab to view a list of departments in the content pane.

5. Then, select the desired department to add the chat message to and click the Edit button, allowing the “Department Settings” modal window to open.

6. After that, click the Custom Message tab.

7. Next, enter the desired message in the Before-Live Chat Field to let customers see it before chatting.

8. Then, enter the desired message in the After-Live Chat Field to let customers see it.

9. After that, click Save.

10. Finally, click Save again to retain the live chat settings changes.
