Understanding MIME Types in cPanel: A Comprehensive Guide

MIME types are used by browsers to handle specific file types. When a file is sent to a visitor’s browser, it also sends a MIME type that indicates the type of file and how to serve it. Most MIME types are defined within the system, but files with custom extensions can be specified in this interface.

a) How to add a custom MIME type in cPanel

1. Log into cPanel and navigate to the Advanced section to select MIME Types tool or search for the MIME Types tool in the search bar.
