Navigating WordPress Tags: An In-Depth Exploration

WordPress tags are the default tool for categorizing posts, allowing visitors to find similar posts by clicking on the tags within each post. Multiple tags can be included in each post.

a) How to add a tag

1. First, select “Posts” on the menu on the left side of the dashboard, then click the “Tags” button to add a new category.

2. Then, fill in all the fields.

  • Name: The name of the label must be unique.
  • Slug: Describes the post in the URL. It is usually lowercase and contains only letters, numbers, and hyphens.
  • Description: This is a brief introduction to the tag. This description appears when you hover your pointer over the label.
