Common Queries: Plesk FAQs, Part 7

a) Plesk 12.5 displays statistics for each database, including the number of tables and size of the database. Do I need to run routine maintenance tasks to update these statistics ?

The statistics are sourced in real-time from the database server, eliminating the need for routine maintenance tasks to update them.

b) Can Plesk 12.5 manage the database I created manually on the database server using the “CREATE DATABASE” call ?

Plesk manages objects created through the Plesk interface, command-line utilities, or API, including databases, domains, FTP users, and mailboxes.

c) Can I fix MySQL InnoDB corruption issues using the Check and Repair button ?

No. The Check and Repair button utilizes built-in methods to check and repair the database, but InnoDB corruption is a low-level issue that requires manual repair.

d) Does Plesk provide additional versions of PHP on all operating systems ?

Additional PHP versions can only be installed using the Plesk installer on the latest supported operating system versions, such as CentOS 6 and 7, and Debian 7 and 8, respectively.

e) Does Plesk plan to add PHP7 support to Plesk 12.0 ?

Plesk is not planning to add PHP7 support to Plesk 12.0 due to the increasing number of customers upgrading to Plesk 12.5, and as Plesk 12.5 already supports PHP7.

Note: Some web applications may not be compatible with PHP 7.
