Expanding Your Web Presence: A Guide to Adding Addon Domains in cPanel

Addons Domains are additional domains that are hosted on your account, stored in subfolders and treated as subdomains by the system. They allow you to run multiple websites under the same hosting plan, making them ideal for running multiple websites on a single account.

a) How to create an Addon Domain in cPanel

1. Log into cPanel and navigate to the Domains section to select Addon Domains tool or search for the Addon Domains tool in the search bar.

2. Then, enter your domain name in the “New domain name” field in the “Create an additional domain” section of “Additional domains“.

3. After that, the subdomain and document root will be automatically populated and you can adjust the settings as needed.

4. Next, click the “Create an FTP account associated with this Addon Domain” checkbox and enter your FTP username and password in the provided fields to create an FTP account associated with the addon domain.

5. Finally, click the Add Domain button and you’ll receive a message confirming the successful creation of a new additional domain and FTP account.

b) How to remove an Addon Domain in cPanel

1. Log into cPanel and navigate to the Domains section to select Addon Domains tool or search for the Addon Domains tool in the search bar.

2. Then, click the Remove link button to delete the Addon Domain in the Modify Addon Domain section.
