Common Queries: Sucuri Web Security FAQs, Part 1

1. Sucuri administration

a) How do I handle WordPress multisite installation in Sucuri ?

Sucuri

The Sucuri platform requires a plan that covers all domains, as they may have multiple unique domains pointing to a single installation. These domains may be affected or blacklisted without direct knowledge of them. Each domain requires a license to ensure individual checks. Registering to cover only one domain without touching all other domains is not effective due to the nature of multisite configurations. Each domain requires a license to ensure proper check-in.

b) How do I change coverage between sites in Sucuri ?

To change coverage between sites, you must have your site cleaned by the annual deadline. Once cleaned, a domain remains attached to your account until the end of the term. To add more sites, upgrade your account.

c) How do I upgrade my Sucuri ?

We provide multiple upgrade options upon signing up. If you can’t find your desired plan in your dashboard’s billing section, submit a product support ticket, and our management team will assist you.

d) Can I override my subdomains and test sites ?

Licenses are required for each subdomain and unique website structure. Subdirectories under the site root are cleaned unless they redirect to subdomains. Databases and blocklist issues related to subdomains are not addressed, and only the main domain is cleaned.

e) Is this a Sucuri subscription service ?

All plans are subscriptions, and to stop them, you must submit a general request form via the dashboard. Requests to unsubscribe via phone, chat, or email will not be accepted.

f) Will you clean all sites at the root of my user account ?

To ensure effective cleaning, upgrade your account to cover all sites on your server or isolate your site on its own server. Cross-site contamination can cause all sites to infect each other, creating an infinite loop, making it crucial to protect your site.
