Understanding CPU Usage Limits for VPS: A Comprehensive Overview

The CPU, or central processing unit, is responsible for executing instructions and calculations for the operating system and applications on a virtual private server (VPS). VPS has the ability to monitor and control CPU usage, ensuring efficient use, especially when processing power is needed.

CPU Usage

To ensure security and performance, if 100% CPU usage is not sustained for more than 59 minutes (considered compromised by our internal systems), your VPS CPU capacity will automatically be reduced by 10% every hour.

To ensure optimal performance, it is recommended to monitor CPU usage and select a plan with more resources to allow for unexpected usage spikes and maintain responsiveness and performance even under heavy workloads.

If your VPS continues to use excessive CPU resources despite optimization and malware removal, it may be a sign that your project has outgrown its current plans, and it may be necessary to upgrade your VPS.
