plesk

MailEnable 10.20 and Postfix 3.4 now support SNI for mail.

b) Is enabling restricted mode sufficient to completely isolate Plesk administrators ?

plesk

To fully isolate Plesk administrators, we suggest enabling restricted mode and implementing the following actions:

  • The Panel.ini editor extension should be removed, as it can be used to disable restricted mode.
  • In restricted mode settings, avoid selecting the “Ability to use remote APIs“, “Updates and upgrades“, “Scheduled tasks“, “Event Manager“, or “Backup Manager” checkboxes.

c) How do I configure restricted mode ?

plesk

To enable and configure restricted mode, navigate to Tools & Settings > Plesk > Restricted Mode Settings under “Plesk“.

  • Enable the corresponding option in the other administrator’s profile to apply restricted mode to them.
  • To enable restricted mode for Plesk administrators, use the CLI commandplesk bin poweruser –off -simple true -lock true,” which cannot be disabled through the Plesk interface.

d) I cannot select the “Create new subscription” option to move the domain to. Why ?

plesk

You may not possess the necessary permissions to create a subscription.

e) I see that there is no target subscription available to move the domain to. Why ?

plesk

  • The target subscription requires specific permissions, such as domain management, subdomain management for subdomains, and domain alias management for aliases.
  • The subscription lacks sufficient resources like a domain, subdomain, domain alias, or email name.
