Monitoring cPanel Bandwidth Usage: A Comprehensive Guide

Bandwidth refers to the amount of incoming and outgoing data transferred to a hosting account, influenced by factors like visitors, email traffic and FTP connections, with cPanel automatically notifying users.

Access a short summary of bandwidth usage and bandwidth statistics in the cPanel guideline

1. To access a brief summary of cPanel bandwidth usage, log into cPanel, and on the right side, you will see a short summary of bandwidth usage under the statistics section.

2. To access detailed information on cPanel bandwidth statistics, log into cPanel and navigate to the Metrics section and click Bandwidth.

3. After that, you will be directed to a new window that displays daily, weekly, and monthly consumption, along with total bandwidth usage.

4. Finally, the chart displays the monitored traffic, including HTTP, FTP, and IMAP/POP3/SMTP traffic.

  • HTTP traffic refers to the data sent and received over the protocol.
  • FTP traffic refers to the transfer protocol used to access and share files between a computer and a web server.
  • IMAP/POP3/SMTP traffic refers to the email communication between a server and a computer or mail client.
