How Do I Forward My Email To Another Account? |
|
Many of our clients wish to have all of their email forwarded to one main
account, such as an POP3 email address, or a Hotmail address. This document will explain how to set this function up, and maintain it in the future.
Login to http://mail.yourdomain.com
Enter Admin account as the username:
Admin@Yourdomain.Com.
Enter Admin account password.
On Main Menu under Option, click 'Change User Forwarding Information'.
Enter the email address you want the email to be forwarded to (The email address must be a complete mail address). All email sent to this account
will be forwarded to the account you specify. If you want
to leave a copy of the mail to this account and forward a
copy to the account you specify, you can type a Dot,
follow by a Comma and type the email address you want the
email to be forwarded to (Exp: .,Userid@Domain.com).
When you are satisfied, click the Save button to apply the
changes. If you are successful, you will see a message telling you that the account has been setup. Press Menu to continue and leave the Change Forward Menu.
Now you must test the account to verify that it is forwarding. |

How Do I Setup Email Alias? |

If you wish to remove or add an alias to a POP account, you can do so at any time. |
Standard Alias
Login to http://mail.yourdomain.com
On Main Menu under Administration, click 'Alias Administration'
In Alias Administration Menu, Click the Add Alias button.
In the Alias ID text box, enter a name for the alias.
Alias names are limited to 45 characters and must be created from the character set of digits and letters. The underline (_) and hyphen (-) characters are valid. The name cannot contain spaces and must be unique within the system.
In the Alias Type, choose Standard.
In the Destination text box, enter one complete e-mail address per line.
After entering all the e-mail address in the Destination text box, click SAVE to add the alias. The new alias is added to the list of registered aliases.
A standard alias can point to a single userid on the same system, multiple userids on the same system, a remote e-mail address, multiple e-mail addresses, another alias, or any combination of the same. |

A List Alias
A list alias points to a file that contains a list of valid mail addresses.
First, decide the alias ID for the list alias. (eg: support)
Create a text file by using Notepad or any text editor and name the file same as your alias ID follow by the lst extension. (eg: support.lst)
In the file, enter the e-mail addresses (Enter one complete e-mail address per line)
Then, send a mail to support@webserver.com.my to request our support set this up for you with the file that you have created as an attachment.
After our support finish the setting, we will send back a mail to inform you. |

How Do I Setup Catch-All Addresses? |

Login to http://mail.yourdomain.com
On Main Menu under Administration, click 'Alias Administration'
In Alias Administration Menu, Click the Add Alias button.
In the Alias text box, enter a name called "nobody" for the alias.
In the Destination text box, enter A Standard Alias (in this case admin),
so that all mail sent to Yourdomain.com will forward to Admin@Yourdomain.com.
After entering the alias properties, click OK to add the alias. The new
alias is added to the list of registered aliases.
The use of nobody alias also prevents messages from bouncing back
incorrectly-addressed mail to sender. |

How do I Setup
Autoresponder? |

Login to http://mail.yourdomain.com
On Main Menu under Option, click 'Auto Response'
To enter or change message:
In the Message Box, enter your message. You can enter up to 1000 characters.
Click Save.
This message will be sent once to each user that sends you mail. When mail is received for a particular user ID, a prepared message
is sent back to the sender. |

Why is my attachment not forwarded together with email? |
|
By default Imail don't forward attachment, unless you set
this :
Go to Imail | Edit My Preferences | Check Forward Attachments | Include Attachments and then Save. |
