01 |
Can I transfer an existing domain name to your servers? |
Yes, you can. When you sign up, just specify that you are requesting a transfer and NOT a new domain. Webserver will then contact the InterNIC or MYNIC for you, and request that your domain name be transferred. |
02 |
How fast can you have it transfer to your server? |
It may take several days (normally 72 hours) for InterNIC or MYNIC to complete the domain name transfer process and propagate to other DNS server, so we highly recommend that you keep your current service active until it is completed. |
03 |
How can I keep the down time to minimum during the transfer? |
We will provide you with a temporary IP address for you to upload and test your site before you initiate a transfer. Once the transfer process is completed, the Internic / Mynic data record will point your domain to our server. Then you can request your previous host to have them delete the old domain name information from their DNS server. |
